ABOUT SKINNY PINES

Skinny Pines is a wood-fired mobile brick oven based in Fairfield County, Connecticut by chef and owner Jeff Borofsky. We operate year-round using local, seasonal ingredients that reflect our landscape. Our signature Neapolitan-style pizzas and wood-fired creations form the foundation for private events and weekly Farmers’ Market appearances. As parents, friends and caretakers of our land, we consider sustainability in each aspect of our business.
Farms & Markets
We believe food should be simple and fresh. Our relationships with farmers in Connecticut and New York form the basis of our menu, giving us many of our key ingredients. Some of the farms we visit and source our vegetables and meat, include: Sport Hill Farm, Riverbank Farm, Fort Hill Farms, Moorefield Herb Farm, Beltane Farm, Two Guys from Woodbridge, Greyledge Farm and Wild Hive Farm.
Catering & Events
We are a full-service catering company offering full support in planning, cooking and creating the ideal event for you and your guests. We work with you to collaborate on a menu, plan and purchase the best ingredients. Ranging from small groups to parties of 150 or more, let us know what you’re looking to accomplish and we’ll make it happen. Our mobile wood-fired oven can go anywhere!
Sustainable Practices
Our ingredients, supplies and even the wood we burn to power the Skinny Pines oven, consider sustainability. Our menu features as much local and organic ingredients as possible. And our catering “rentals” such as cutlery and cups are actually fully biodegradable tableware made from plants. Even our pizza boxes are made from 100% recycled content. Skinny Pines is the recipient of a 2010 Green Coast Award.
